Overview
A recipe from the farm that you MUST try! Simple to make and Delicious to taste.
Ingredients
- 175g Nairn’s Gluten Free Porridge Oats
- 125g Margarine/butter
- 50g Flour
- 50g Sugar
- 110g Icing Sugar
- 55g Margarine/butter
- A few drops of vanilla essence
Instructions
- Cream 50g sugar and 125g margarine or butter until smooth
- Gradually work in the oats and flour until you have a consistent mixture
- Roll out the mixture to about 1 cm thick and cut into rounds, you should get about 10 -12 good sized biscuits
- Bake at 200C/180C Fan for 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool
- Whilst the biscuits cool mix 110g icing sugar with 55g margarine/butter and a few drops of vanilla essence until smooth
- When the biscuits have completely cooled spread on the icing and top with a second biscuit to make a sandwich
