Protein Oat Porridge

This protein oat porridge recipes combines the goodness of oats and eggs you need for an active day with a delicious baked apple and cinnamon topping. This fluffy porridge is also gluten free!

  • 40g Nairn's gluten free porridge
  • 40ml water
  • 40ml milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 100g apple
  • 10g honey
  • 25g hazelnuts
  • 10g sunflower seeds

1. Quarter the apples and take out the core, leave the skin on

2. Drizzle the apples with honey, sprinkle with cinnamon and bake in a pre-heated oven at 175°C about 20-25min or until softened and cooked

3. While waiting for the apples to cook, heat water & milk, then add porridge oats

4. Cook until liquid is almost fully absorbed

5. Add in whisked egg whites and stir vigorously for a few minutes. Porridge should become fluffy

6. Cover the lid and set aside for 5 min

7. After apples are done, chop them up into small cubes and mix through the porridge
